The Miniature Baseball Bat is a relatively basic project and is a very good project to start with if students are relatively inexperienced in woodturning. All turning aspects of this project are relatively straight forward but will require quite a bit of time when sanding in order to achieve a smooth finish. The material selected for this project is maple, however other hardwoods such as mahogany, ash or black walnut would also be suitable.
